Are these "corrected" exit polls, meaning adjusted with the final vote data?
http://us.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.html

Also, does anybody know where I can get a hold of a better data set of the exit polling?

One thing that stands out as really odd is at the bottom. Rural voters increased support for Kerry over Gore? Hmmm, makes me wonder what the MOE is on this.

While the exit polls have problems, which I have earlier alluded to in another thread, a few items in this poll illustrate other points I made in October.

First, remember those SUSA polls?

A. They kep saying that Kerry was doing better among Republicans than Bush was doing among Democrats.  I pointed out this was simply wrong, and this poll substantiates my critique.

B. Also, I was critical of the SUSA polls which showed Kerry winning the Military/Veteran vote (this poll shows he lost that vote substantially).

Second, I have repeatedly made the point that the Kerry vote was primarily an anti-Bush vote, not a pro-Kerry vote, and this poll agrees with my point.

Third, Kerry tried to pretend that he wasn't opposed to the right to keep and bear arms (he record says he does).  Gun owners did NOT buy his deceit according to this poll.
