Is there anywhere that has the Governor vote by party? The Green party clearly obtained ballot status.

Hawkins got 57,092 votes according to the NY Times, so the Greens should have ballot access.

Yeah, I know that. I was wondering about the parties that endorsed the Democrat or the Republican.

Nassau County has their results broken down.  It may help you get an idea.

From what I read, the Conservative Party likely won back Row C.  The Independence Party had a bad election, and will likely fall below the Working Families Party onto Row E.  The WFP should move up to Row D.  The Greens will get a new Row F.  The Libertarians will likely fall short of getting on the ballot.   And The Rent apparently Isn't 2 Damn High.

I'm surprised RI2DH didn't quite make it. I actually personally know at least three people who voted for McMillan.

Nothing's official yet, but likely less than 50,000.  40,000, maybe.  He was in the 30,000s, last I heard.

I wonder if the Greens, now that they have ballot access for the next round of elections, will use their power of cross endorsing to help some friendly Dems, or be purists and always run their own candidate.  Nationwide I appreciate the fact that they run candidates in some key races, like Illinois and Colorado Senate races, because it counterbalances the usual right of center third party candidates.  Still, I wonder if alot of people who like the Greens but still vote Democratic would flock to the Green line if they were cross endorsing Dems, kind of like the Working Family Party scenario.

Charles Barron has to be pretty embarrassed by his exceptionally poor showing. An ostensibly serious candidate finishing behind a bunch of joke candidates. Even Kristin Davis finished ahead of him.

Jimmy McMillan improved on his 2006 showing by 0.7%.

I'm somewhat surprised that Warren Redlich did pretty well too; the Libertarians got 0.77% more than they did in 2006.

Both unfortunately missed the crucial 50,000 mark.

Andrew Cuomo
   Dem.    2,602,443    61.4%
Carl Paladino
   Rep.    1,445,779    34.1%
Howie Hawkins
   Green    58,123    1.4%
Warren Redlich
   Lib.    45,865    1.1%
Jimmy McMillan

Kristin Davis

Charles Barron
