new TV ad out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veMzIwmG-Uo

"demonstrating the kind of fearlessness that got him confirmed TWICE by the U.S. Senate"

Couple of great Americans in that ad.

I thought that actually was from this campaign, and I was like . . . WTF?!?

The Paladino team should just run that ad nonstop.

Maybe not, but the rest of it is so hilariously out-of-touch - confirmed TWICE by the US Senate!

Changed my endorsement to Paladino.  I've decided that Cuomo pisses me off too much, and Paladino is at least very entertaining.  If he turns out to be a complete nutcase, it's still good, because NY deserves to have a complete nutcase running things.

Apparently.

Shucks. Maybe he found a horse's head in his bed last night or something.

More likely, a judicial nomination somewhere*...  Not that he'd even want to be elected as a judge and take a huge pay cut from his Wall Street job.

* It's the only way for him to get off the ballot at this point, other than moving out of state or dying.

He can be like Dede Scozzafava in Upstate, NY. She remained on the ballot even with Doug Hoffman as the main C(c)onservative candidate but tell people not to vote for ehr.

There is absolutely no way the Conservative Party will allow that to happen.  They need their gubernatorial candidate to receive at least 50,000 votes in order to retain a place on the ballot.

Scozzafava dropped out well after the deadline to name a replacement had past.  The judicial nomination  loophole probably wasn't even available for a special election (and probably would have passed by the time Scozzafava dropped out, anyway).

I'm betting that the Conservative Party will replace Lazio with Paladino on the ballot.  It is there best bet to get the 50,000 votes that they need.  The timing of Lazio's dropout, one day before the deadline, has to be more than just chance.

Hahah, what a terrible scumbag! I'm tempted to ironically support him, if not for the fact that Cuomo strikes me as pretty much the same sort of low-life, just better at hiding it.

This is kinda what I expect out of New York, to be honest.

I thought you loved New York politics so much that you wanted it to secede to be its own country?

"Albany Reporter" does Fred Dicker about as much justice as "American political figure" does for Obama

Andrew Cuomo.

By the way, have you heard the rumor that Andrew Cuomo cheated on his Kennedy ex-wife and may have had a child out of wedlock?  No?  Well, you have now.  Total amount spent by Paladino to make this rumor public?  $0.

Have you heard the rumor that John Boner has a girlfriend? Also why would Cuomo be upset about his opponent basically threatening to have someone killed in public? Don't see how that would hurt him really.

I'll admit, there is a small but not insubstantial nihilistic side to me that wants Paladino to win, just so I could watch the absolute chaos that would happen in the aftermath. I'm about as sure as I ever was that that won't happen though.
