This is the "United Democratic Socialist Republic" that my friend and I created some years ago.
This is a modern, Canadian/Australian parliamentary democracy with large minority populations. The Black population is roughly 19% of the total and is concentrated in the southeast and in cities: states like East Salinas, West Salinas, Patagonia and Sextus are all majority black. and the Mediaean immigrant population is 11% of the total and concentrated in border states, especially Mernaware, Caesarea, Yelnix (majority Medaeian) and Borris.

CONSERVATIVE:
Leader: Prime Minister Christopher STROUD of Enterprise East-Fitzwilliam, Illivia since 2001, PM since '08
A centre-right, fiscally conservative party currently holding power.
LABOUR:
Leaders: Anne WHITEFIELD MP of Hartford-Moorpark, Caesarea, prime minister from 2006-2008, leader until 2010
Dr. Michael PHILEMON MP of River City Centre, Coruscant (interim), served for about a month in '10
Mark SANCHEZ of Delnin, running in Vanier-Chestersport constituency
A centre-left party that is nonetheless mostly conservative on social issues.
GREEN:
Leader: Dr. Michael LONG MP of Holt-Greenland, Delnin
Moderately liberal economically and extremely libertarian on social issues. Strong ecologist heritage that is increasingly being abandoned.
NATIONAL FRONT:
Leader: Liam KIRKPATRICK of Wakefield-Croton, Beckinsol
Far right party with agrarian roots.
SOCIALIST LABOUR ALLIANCE:
Leader: Theodore PECZYNSKI MP of Persepolis-Storrowton, Seminora
Alliance of four leftist-socialist parties: the Mediaean Workers' Party, the Communist Party of the UDSR, the Socialist Workers' Front and the Institutional Anarchist Party (formerly headed by firebrand eccentric Crispin WHITTOCK MP of Bushnell-Cold Harbour, Lexicona). Peczynski was the leader of the Communist Party.
BLACK PEOPLE'S PARTY:
Leader: Tavarius BROWN MP of Washington South-Fanshawe, Patagonia
Leftist economically, very socially conservative, Black nationalist.
