Can't believe anyone would be actually cheering a John Edwards presidency.

I agree. But I also can't believe anyone loving, liking or even somewhat approving a George Bush presidency.

MONDAY NOV 8:

Press conference called for 2pm EST.

"The President-elect of the United States and Mrs Edwards..."

"Thank you for coming at short notice. We wanted to address something that has been increasing in it's presence in gossip columns and tabloid publications

Elizabeth..."

"Thanks, after attending Johns Hopkins Medical Centre on and off over the past month, I have been told that I have breast cancer. It is aggressive and malignant. They cannot yet make a thorough diagnosis.

John and our children have been a rock of support in the days since I received the diagnosis. I have been told that while I will need rest, I will be able to carry out the responsibilities of First Lady to support John in this great work and to support those causes about which I am so passionate.

I fully intend to fight this, and to win, thank you"

John Edwards embraces his wife and they leave the podium.

Tomorrow they meet with the Bushes at the White House.
