In my opinion, McCain has the better personality. Obama seems too cool and distant, and not very likable.

To be honest, I'm not too fond of either's personality. However, McCain appears to be funnier and more relaxed and cheerful. Thus I pick him. Besides, Obama appears to have a very large ego.

Pretty much. McCain has terrible politics and is a serial panderer with all sorts of personal issues but he at least seems like a funny guy with a lot of fire in him. Obama doesn't have any passion, he just comes off as a raging narcissist (what else would you expect from someone writing their memoirs in their 30s) and totally pretentious. He seems like he should be hanging out at DC parties and tending to some irrelevant blog like DailyBeast instead of being President.

You know my political positions, but McCain have clearly very interesting and, I'd say, complex personality.

I've had a favorable view of McCain, in terms of personality, since he made comments defending Obama in front of a crowd of morons.

Obama has a truly awful personality. The arrogance and narcissism is truly sickening to behold, even by politicians' standards. I could never stand him, and I don't know how so many people could ever find him a likable figure.

McCain seems to have a rather juvenile and jerkish personality, but at least it's somewhat down-to-earth and humanoid.

Sen. McCain has the more likable personality, though Obama is probably easier to relate to since he is closer to our generation, just late baby boomer, while McCain and Methuselah were brothers and he once raised a Brontosaurus for a pet (kidding, of course).

I never got the whole "youthfulness" angle either. At age 18, I didn't relate to a 47 year old any more than I did to a 72 year old.

For those of you who voted for Obama, I'm curious why. He just seems so ridiculously fake. A conjured image, if you will.

I much prefer the personality of a person who can keep calm and collected in adverse situations and, even if in vain, tries to pass the same calm along to those around them. From my viewpoint, this has been a defining characteristic of how Obama communicates to the American people. I have no reason to believe that Obama is any different from this in private, I voted for him.

Obama by a mile. I couldn't stand McCain, on a personal level and on a policy level.

Trying to get at a presidential candidate's personality? Seriously? Like any of it is allowed to seep through all the campaign managers, writers, and coaches. I strongly prefer Obama's branded image over McCain's but I make no pretense as to having any insight into personality.

And any of you who voted for McCain must be referring to someone other than the Senator from Arizona, who is an egomaniac with a bad temper.

As they should be - they're better than you, worker.  At least according to the system you so slavishly embrace.
