I have deep reservations about this bill. Of course, it is easy to make a statement of hatred towards Hamilton and he is most certaintly derserving of such treatment and more, but I don't think it right or proper to establish the precedent, that the passage of this bill would set.

But there IS precedent, Yank. Look at the IDS's Aaron Burr Day. Plus former SoIA Al made a nuclear waste dump out of Bakersfield, CA of all places. Besides, Hammy's detrimental effect on Atlasia is also without precedent. If anybody ever rises to that level of destructiveness, they'll have also earned such a unique ignominious result as national celebration of their banning.

The people of Atlasia last month clearly rejected Kalwejt's crude and juvenile approach to legislating at the ballot box.

I hope my fellow senators will respect their wishes by rejecting Kalwejt's demeaning proposal here.

"Demeaning"? To Hamilton??

Seriously, who would rise to the defense of somebody who so singlemindedly focused their personal shortcomings and misanthropy into conquering an on-line political sim, sought to rip Atlasia to pieces for their own jollies, and relies on sockpuppets to achieve their current goals?

Oh, wait.....

I support this proposal.Okay, Badger isn't from Midwest, but it sounds like a Midwest law. Atlasia needs more Midwest mind.

If by "Midwest mind" you mean "sense of humor", then exactamundo! Wink

A vote is now open on the "lets give hamilton an errection by bestowing a holiday upon him" Act. Please vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.

This vote will last three days.

No need. Based on the points made by these two posts:

For the record, I plan to veto this if it passes. It seems ill-advised to open old wounds and it is much more prudent for us to focus on current issues.

Let it die, folks. No need to glorify him with a bill like this. It only will embolden him.

I'll withdraw the measure. Fun debate though. Cheesy Good to finally get a little action back into this place. Grin

Are you nuts? Let the vote continue, if action is what you seek. Tongue

Good point. But looking at the votes cast while I was composing my last two posts that seems redundant. Debate is over now, and this measure accomplished its goal of injecting some levity into the Senate chamber. Wink

Go ahead and pull it, Yank.

Actually, I can't and you can't withdraw it either. Tongue
