It's population-proportional.

And maybe if population was even remotely relevant, someone would care.

Isn't it sad that this is partially true?

My map doesn't resize the counties for population. It shows how much landmass is GOP territory on the county level.

Go outside and ask if your front yard voted for Bush or Kerry.

my front yard is pretty ornery.  a Cobb supporter I think.  The back yard, though, is Badnarik all the way!  Wink

Why does landmass matter more than population?

Because people in red areas don't want spots of blue controlling their lives.

It's already obvious that the population is almost 50/50 just by looking at the results.

why should red areas control the people in blue spots just because they are more spread out?

They shouldn't. There's something called local government.

If you live in a blue spot, you can't decide stuff for the entire country.

so why should people who live spread out be able to decide things for the entire country that includes the blue spots?

That wouldn't happen under my system, so I don't know what you're talking about. Just quit trying to oppress GOP counties.

Counties don't represent anything at all. How does living in a county of 1,500 people (Alpine County, California) outweigh living in a county of several million (Los Angeles County, California)?

It doesn't outweigh it. All counties should have two senators in one branch of each state legislature.

Why[/i]? That would assume that they are equal.

How does an area with 1,500 politically equal one with several million?

yes it would as the more sparsely populated counties get more of a say and thus can decide things for the clustered together counties.
