49% - Michele Bachmann (R)
40% - Tarryl Clark (DFL)
  6% - Bob Anderson (IP)
  1% - Aubrey Immelman (I)

Filtering: 800 registered voters from Minnesota's 6th Congressional District were interviewed by SurveyUSA 09/13/10 through 09/15/10, using Registration Based Sample (RBS) from Aristotle in Washington DC. Of the registered voters, 582 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 11/02/10 general election for US House of Representatives.

What I've always tried to figure is why SUSA's MN state polls have such a GOP bias and why their MN-06 polls always nail it.  Odd.

Indeed. I remember in 2008 when they released a poll that was blatantly too pro-McCain (R+3%, I think) & also showed Bachmann leading by 1%. I assumed Bachmann was going to lose after that, but I turned out to be wrong.

If she was able to barely win in 2008, it's not at all likely that she's going to lose this year. I'm glad she at least has a bit of a fight on her hands though.

If this ends up being the final result I'll be satisfied. Such a high profile candidate with such gobs of money in a suburban district, in a year like this, who won 55% or something in her first election. 49% would be a disappointment for her. She probably wishes she were Sarah Palin.

I hate Michelle Bachmann. I really hate her. but she will win ='(. If she wins by 4 points or less, I'll consider it a victory for liberals =)

I think it might have to do with the demographics in the district. Minnesota's election and voter registration laws which are unquestionably the laxest and most liberal in the US and possibly even in the developed world* can make polling the whole state tricky with a normal model, but MN-06 isn't really the type of place to be too affected by it.

*Minnesota is the only state entity in the world where one can register to vote on election day just by having someone already registered sign a form saying that that person lives in the precinct. In 2008 when I was in line there were several people who just hung out at the back of the line asking every person who came by if they'd do so for them, and at least one case where a poll worker yelled out "Anyone willing to vouch for this guy?" from right near the door, which was answered by some random girl. I'd love to see how this is used in St. Louis County.

Nope, it's completely legal under Minnesota law. You may not agree with the law but there is nothing criminal about it.

I suppose his name was originally written in the Arabic alphabet, & therefore there is no official spelling of it in the Latin alphabet.

Yeah, it's the Persian ژ Že, which is apparently correctly transliterated into Spanish with y.

North Dakota doesn't even have registration. They must be the most corrupt state ever.

Well, Minnesota had that whole "gigantic recount" thing in 2008 and nothing really turned up...

The board managing the recount consisted of Sec of State Mark Ritchie (a Democrat), two Supreme Court judges appointed by Pawlenty (Republicans), a long term Ramsey County judge (a Democrat) and a Ramsey county judge aligned with Ventura (independent). 2-2-1. Sounds fair and non-partisan to me.
