I was wondering if there was interest in doing a second round of the Presidential Tournament that I did a few months ago.

Here's the original thread: http://www.uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=118393.0

original bracket: http://challonge.com/prestourn

If there's interest then start suggesting names (as many as you want). Generally I go by a rule that if 2 people suggest the name the its on the list, but if we don't have enough I'll just use my own discretion.

The way it will work this time will be 2 "wings" so to say of the bracket. One will be left-wing and one will be right wing. Last time I had it mixed and we ended up with the winner, runner up and third & fourth place all being right-wingers. Out of six rounds, all the Democrats were eliminated by round 4 which is why I want to try it this way.

Not sure what to do about independents like Bloomberg so I'll take suggestions on that. I think it should either be a coin toss as to which side they go to, or you can suggest which side of the bracket that particular person should start in...

I'll use my discretion to weed out too many horrid nominations, I'll let a few in but it'll be balanced in terms of the very small number of horrid nominations --and also in terms of the number of nominees on the left and right "wings."

So feel free to start nominating.
