Brown finally has a presence on the air, which has brought more Democrats to attention. It's still a close race, but Brown has picked up steam.

If the 2010 elections are a disaster across the country for Democrats, picking up the California Governor's mansion would be a big silver lining.  Also, further evidence that Boxer is strengthening her position.

That said, the Midwest and Rust Belt are looking very ugly.

Ummm this is the CA senate race, in which the nominee is Fiorina.
Whitman is running for governor.

Weren't they one of the only pollsters to show Fiorina leading in their last few polls?

If so, this is a huge turnaround for Boxer.
