Which is why the poll isn't likely to be accurate. Tongue

That's a laugh. Anyway, interesting to see that they have Gillibrand doing as well as Cuomo. I didn't expect that.

Clinton wasn't an incumbent though... and she also was running in a much friendlier environment (having Gore absolutely stomping the hell out of Bush on the top of ticket must have been nice).

Yeah of course, I just wanted to know what the polls in the 2000 Senate race looked like and if they were accurate, but I couldnīt find any polls on the Wiki article or elsewhere, so I checked the Quinnipiac archive.

And Lazio's campaign crashed and burned after his disastrous debate performance.

In terms of polling, I would rate the four firms in this order for NY:

SUSA
Rasmussen
Quinnipiac

Siena

With SUSA, you have to understand that wild swings are all a part of their method, so each "snapshot in time" will be a good bit different from Rasmussen (for example).

How much of an incumbent in Gillibrand? She can't run as an outsider like Mark Critz, but for 96% of voters, she's someone they've never voted for before in a general election.

Well, I voted for her twice. Tongue
