Likely voters:

Brady (R): 42%
Quinn (D): 35%
Cohen (I): 6%
Whitney (G): 4%
Green (L): 2%

Basically, Brady is unpopular but Quinn is ridiculously unpopular.

Not really much movement. More people are decided now, and Quinn is down by 7 as opposed to being down by 9 in the last poll.

Interesting to see the huge amount of support Brave Treasurer TopinkaTM is getting considering what happened in 2006. Perhaps voters are smart enough to know when they made a mistake?

It's not as if Topinka were really clean either though. (Although of course, not electing here was indeed a mistake considering the alternative)

I understand not liking Quinn.....I definitely understand not liking a maniac like Brady.....but how can anyone seriously want to vote for Scott Lee Cohen, BTW?

Oh, one last consideration.....Brady got the relatively significant endorsement of former Gov. Jim Edgar (Republican)....who made headlines quite a lot throughout the last year criticizing Brady's plans as "naive"...but he's apparently decided that Brady is the lesser evil.

I'd say it's a pretty important endorsement actually....at least as important as endorsements can get.
