NOTE: Due to a loss of interest, I am scrapping the secret ballot. From now on, post your votes in this thread as you would in any other survivor.

The voting schedule is as follows: In the first 21 rounds, you will cast a vote to eliminate one governor and a vote to keep one governor. One governor will be eliminated per round. A vote to keep will cancel out a vote to eliminate. Round 11 will have an additional special rule: In addition to your votes to eliminate and to keep, you will cast an additional vote to immunize one governor until the top ten. During this round, you may not cast your vote to keep and your vote to immunize for the same governor. After the first 21 rounds, the list will be reduced to the top ten, and we will eliminate one governor per round using the normal elimination rule until we can crown the Massachusetts Governors since 1900 Survivor!

Each round will last at least 24 hours. In case of a tie, the tiebreakers are as follows:

First tiebreaker: Number of votes to eliminate in the current round (For instance, a governor who receives 4 votes to eliminate and 2 votes to keep will be eliminated over a governor who receives 2 votes to eliminate and no votes to keep).

Second tiebreaker: Number of “points” in previous rounds (Votes to eliminate minus votes to keep).

Third tiebreaker: I cast the tiebreaking vote. I have no vote except in this instance.

Also, during round 11, votes to eliminate trump votes to immunize. If the governor who receives the most votes for elimination happens to be the same as the one who received the most votes to immunize, that governor will be eliminated, and the governor who received the next highest number of votes to immunize will be immune until the top ten.

The Final Round is open, and will close no earlier than 11:15 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, November 14th. Please specify whether your vote is to eliminate or to keep. Votes that do not specify will be treated as votes to eliminate.

A good idea. We'll see how it works.

I'll try to vote, as I'm not a great specialist on Massachusetts Governors, to say the least...

EDIT: I've just voted.

I hope your survivor won't be "forgotten", because, as we don't vote here, the topic will recede fast.
Of course, we don't know others' votes and we are obliged to anticipate.
It may have weird and fun results, but I'm afraid partisan hack will be back.

Anyway, it's worth trying and new rules are always fine to experiment.

Mr. X: Eliminate Romney. Since no vote was cast to keep, this vote was disqualified. When i was deciding who to keep i figuered the 2 most likely governors to be in danger were Romney and Patrick and i didn't think any of those should be gone in the 1st round Tongue Grin

Due to lack of a quorum (a quorum being 3 voters), this round is extended.

This survivor has ceased to generate the amount of interest it would take to justify keeping it open.

Quick poll: Would people be more willing to vote in this survivor if it were done the traditional way?

In fact, this is easier to see that a new round is open and that we have already voted or not...
So, I'd keep voting and would vote faster if it's in the traditional way Wink

Yeah, it was interesting during the first few rounds, but i think it should go to normal elimination now. At least to see if more voters appear Smiley

Because of your feedback, I have decided to get rid of the secret ballot. Round 8 is extended until (at least) 2:00 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, October 17th. Please post your votes in this thread as you would in any normal Survivor. The vote I have already received will not be counted unless it is posted in this thread.

The voting schedule and other rules for this Survivor remain unchanged, and the results of previous rounds stand.

Yes, vote to eliminate one and to keep one. Sorry if that was unclear.
