Ugh. The G-man is only winning 71% of Democrats. Also, the Green's % of the vote should go down a bit by election day.

Don't third party candidates jump all over the place?

This race bores me.

Also if the IL primary were at a more reasonable date, we probably wouldn't have Alexi as our nominee and Kirk would have possibly been tea-bagged.

Here is my question...how is Kirk doing in the burbs?  That's the key.

I really hope Giannoulias pulls this off. It's not like he can run for Governor in 2014 or anything if he loses either because 2014 is probably Lisa Madigan's.

Well both candidates have finally limped and stumbled over the 40% line.

Should have let Blaggo auction the seat off on Craig's list and given the money to the poor.

What a sorry pair.

Putting aside the resume padding thing, could you remind me again why you hold Kirk in such low esteem?

Why?  The biggest reason this is a competitive race is because Giannlulias is such a terrible candidate.  Democrats would be much better sent giving him the political pink slip and running a fresh face.

Interesting that Kirk really does seem to have the lead here. And it's built on an unsustainable-for-2016 lead amongst independents that we're seeing all around the country.

The damage will be done by 2016, don't you worry.

Are they polling enough dead people in Illinois?  They vote overwhelmingly Democratic.

I'm somewhat torn on this one.  Kirk will no doubt be a useless senator, and Giannoulias will no doubt provide plenty of ethics scandals.

Kirk 40, Giannoulias 40 (w/o leaners)
