Probably Chafee. Though I haven't looked at the candidates that seriously, Caprio comes off as a bland moderate Democrat to me.

Robittaille - Republican
Caprio - Fake democrat who considered switching parties to be elected governor
Chafee - former republican

I prefer the former republican.

Tossup between Caprio and Chafee. If I actually lived in the state, I'd take a much deeper look at both candidates. As somebody outside of it, I would like to see some D pickups on election night.

Chafee or Robittaille.....probably Chafee in the end, but he doesn't seem all that bright to me really.

Chafee seems more economically progressive with his support for a tax increase, but in imo, it is a fundamentally regressive tax increase as he is increasing the sales tax on ONLY items that are currently exempt like medicine, clothes, sales from nonprofits, food, household energy & heat, etc.

Walmart won't be paying higher rates for electricity, but families will.

Also, Caprio will sign a gay marriage bill, so although he's got a more moderate Catholic demeanor, he's still more left-wing than Obama is on gay rights...

Caprio. Chafee's tax plan is repugnant.

A blacksmith courted me
Nine months and better
He fairly won my heart
Wrote me a letter.
With his hammer in his hand
He looked so clever
And if I was with my love
I would live forever.

But where is my love gone
With his cheeks like roses
And his good black Billycock on
Decked around with primroses.
I fear the shining sun
May burn and scorch his beauty
And if I was with my love
I would do my duty.

Strange news is come to town
Strange news is carried
Strange news flies up and down
That my love is married.
I wish them both much joy
Though they can't hear me
And may God reward him well
For the slighting of me.

Don't you remember when
You lay beside me
And you said you'd marry me
And not deny me.
If I said I'd marry you
It was only for to try you
So bring your witness love
And I'll not deny you.

No, witness have I none
Save God Almighty
And may he reward you well
For the slighting of me.
Her lips grew pale and wan
It made a poor heart tremble
To think she loved a one
And he proved deceitful.

A blacksmith courted me
Nine months and better
He fairly won my heart
Wrote me a letter.
With his hammer in his hand
He looked so clever
And if I was with my love I would live forever.

Caprio because of Chafee's tax policy.

It doesn't matter when the legislature won't pass a gay marriage bill.

The best Governor would be Block, but the winner is obviously Caprio. Chafee will come in second.

It's pretty obvious which demographic that second ad is targeting.

I'm pretty sure it's the largest ad buy in RI right now, according to what Chafee's campaign told ProJo...I'm too lazy to pull up the source though

Don't expect this one to last anymore.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20101014/us-ri-governor/

The campaign manager for independent Rhode Island gubernatorial candidate Lincoln Chafee resigned Thursday after he acknowledged he received unemployment benefits while listed on the payroll of the Chafee campaign.

J.R. Pagliarini stepped down after inquiries from the media, although he maintains no intentional wrongdoing occurred, according to Mike Trainor, the acting campaign manager, and a statement from Pagliarini.

I admittedly don't know much about the candidates besides Chaffee, so I'd be inclined to vote for the long-shot Republican.

Caprio.

Arguably the most fiscally conservative candidate running, something the state is really in need of.
