Cuomo is a turd. Someone of your intelligence would be much better off moving somewhere better then NY. Smiley

Eh, I'm fine here for now. Cuomo is nothing great but he'll probably get my vote in November.

More buzz on this: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2010/10/red-alert-major-carl-paladino.html

It's too late for that.

I'm starting to wonder if he, like Alan Grayson, is really running a campaign for talk show host.

Paladino's message will be: My personal life was controversial.  But why aren't people scrutinizing Cuomo as closely as me?  His "prowess is legendary."  Anyway, I don't want the campaign to be about that.  Why won't Cuomo debate me?  Please send money!

That whole thing was a lie considering he wasn't even asked about his affair when he had his tirade.  He was asked if he had any evidence to back up his claim about Cuomo cheating on his ex-wife.  Also a debate is scheduled for Hofstra on October 18th.  Every candidate with the exception of Paladino has so far agreed to the debate.

Kind of funny how he pretends to take the high road in that ad.

The logic of that fundraising at the end doesn't make that much sense to me unless they hope that grassroots money will translate into an increased activist volunteer base in a way that simply having Carl writing himself another check would not...because surely direct fundraising appeals on TV ad buys can't be effective, can they?

Yeah, that was the weirdest part - some little-known woman coming in at the end asking for money.   Maybe Paladino doesn't have as much money to spend as we think.

I hope this played better in Buffalo than it would Downstate.  The ad buy was primarily aimed at his base.

Did it even air downstate?  I thought like 90%+ of the buy was north of the city

Perhaps on the News 12 Cablevision stations in the Bronx, Long Island and Lower Hudson Valley.  Otherwise, no.

Roger Stone is involved in the gubernatorial campaign of Spitzer's madam?  Interesting.  I smell a dirty trick.  (Then again, the name Roger Stone should suggest a dirty trick is in the offing).

In the clip Lunar linked, Roger Stone claims Paladino is Italian and was paying Cuomo a complement with that statement.  Yeah.  I don't know how Stone said that with a straight face.

I laughed at that too.  Yeah, Stone is never involved in anything that's not a dirty trick.
