As you might have noticed, I've been abstent from this game, and from the Forum itself since November.  I did return briefly in February, but left again in March.

First off, seeing as this is an internet forum, and most of you would have no other way of finding out, please rest assured nothing "happend" to me.  Meaning, I wasn't in some car accident, etc, etc.

The reason I did leave was because I was becoming increasingly fed up with the way people treat each other on this site, especially in Atlasia.  This is supposed to be a GAME, and in my book, games are supposed to be FUN.

I realize that when I left in November, I was still an At-large Senator.  My continued inactivity cause me to vacate that position, and for that I am sorry.  It was irresponsible of me to simply leave the postion, with no explanation and/or resignation.

I also realize that I declared I was running for the ME Assembly in March, and them promptly left the Forum.  Again, I am sorry for that, and to everyone who still voted for me in that election I can only give you my sincerest thanks.

Once again, I've thought about giving Atlasia a try, but I don't plan to get involved in any kind of party dealings and such.  That's not to say I won't pursue an office, but I will do so on my own accord.

I may join a party eventually, I might even make my own, but I will not have myself subjugated to inter-party squabbles and altercations.

I truly hope to have fun in Atlasia again, and knowing many of you here, I think I will. Smiley

I have often been of the belief that people would treat each other better if they in fact took the lessons learned throughout the course of playing this game seriously, eventhough the game should not be taken as such as a whole.

In truth, whenever Kal complained to me in Americana that Barnes needed to show up, I would wonder something like "what if he died, and there's no way of knowing?", and that led me to thinking that about any poster that might disappear from the forum. Kinda scary if you think about it.

Welcome back, my friend. Smiley This place sucks in many ways indeed, but it's pretty addictive and there's still a possibility to improve it. Good luck on your future plans. Smiley
