It's surreal to see a prominent Republican say something half-sensible on economic issues, really.

Yeah, cause stealing more money from hardworking Americans equals "sensible"....
We should really just have no taxes at all.  Wouldn't that be grand?

Definitely.
Because we can all just by guns and shoot criminals that try to break into our houses.  And build our own roads.  And hire private tutors to educate our children.  And staff our own fire stations.  And....

Definitely.

Yes, actually we can do all those things, and have done every single one of those things not all that long ago.
Government operated courts and jails have been with us since ancients times as have government built roads.  Fire stations have always been government funded unless you count bucket lines and neighbors slapping at flames with soggy pillows in the old west.  A public education system has been in place for centuries and as it has improved the standard of living in America and the average money the individual makes has been going up.  I understand that you may not be a pupil of history but back in the day, life sucked.
