I remember putting up a post about this in March and Nik crying over it.

Let's see if he does the same with Morden.

Mitt Romney did not cost Republicans a Senate majority. Palin did.

In case you haven't notice, we're likely short even if we did win Delaware.

But I'm glad you are admitting that she was able to persuade moderate Delaware Republicans to vote for O'Donnell.

Or she may have just gotten conservatives out in much better numbers than Castle got moderates. Very rarely is there a state where moderate Republicans outnumber conservative Republicans.

West Virginia is getting TCTC, but I think we're looking at 50 seats. We could still get 51 if Lieberman flips, but unless Rossi turns his campaign around, we're stuck.

Actually, GOP  primary turnout was a record in Delaware.  I know you guys love pushing the myth that if turnout were high, you guys would win primaries but the fact of the matter is that you've been losing high turnout elections as well.

There's no reason to believe that the Republicans who didn't vote in the Delaware primary were going to vote any differently than the Republicans who did vote.

It appears that Murray, Boxer, and Alexi will win.

Nah, I have seen the light and no longer support Romney. Meeting him on his book tour was quite interesting though.

Given tmth's supposition that conservative Republicans almost always outnumber moderate Republicans, high turnout would clearly have given an advantage to O'Donnell. On the other hand, low turnout might have also given her an advantage, seeing as how primary electorates tend towards extremity.

Romney is a horrible disgusting person. I would never vote for Obama, but Romney is the one potential Republican nominee who would make not care whether Obama wins re-election or not.

In Related News, 2010 was the first time since 1930 where total GOP Primary turnout surpassed total Democrat Primary turnout.

Just because he did this makes him a douche? Most politicians do this. It's an easier way to make money and get better press.

No, not just because of this. This is just one of the many things over the years that have revealed what a man of poor character Mitt Romney is.

And it's certainly dishonest.

Redcommander is a Romney hack.  Of course he sees nothing wrong with this.  it's complete bs that everyone does it.  Palin didn't.

I hope you haven't donated to Murkowski's write-in campaign?  She's been raising money at Mike Huckabee levels since she started her write-in.  People donating to Murkowski are just donating to her cocaine habit.

That is pretty much standard practice, although Romney certainly doesn't need the money.  He is an all-around unpleasant individual, however, and I would support just about anyone besides him for the GOP nomination.

It's not about the money.  It's about boosting his book sales, so the book looks more popular than it is, and it's able to reach #1 on the NYT bestseller's list.

Is it actually "standard practice"?  It may well be.  I know "bulk sales" to boost sales figures are standard practice, but is it actually standard practice to do a speaking gig somewhere, and explicitly do it in exchange for your host purchasing many thousands of copies of your book that they have no intention of re-selling?
