The Sunshine State News Poll surveyed 830 likely voters between Oct. 14-17, with a margin of error of +/- 3.4 percent.

Boyd was elected in '96, which I would argue is in the post-Dixiecrat era. Plus he's a fairly moderate Democrat except for his obsession with privatizing social security.

he voted for HCR, he is in the wrong district in the wrong year and he got only 52% of the vote in the primary.

He's probably not this far gone, but his district is also highly polarized between Liberal Tallahassee and the Conservative rural areas. He's exactly the kind of candidate that could be beaten in an election with a big midterm turnout gap.
