Huh. Well, Blunt will still almost certainly win, but - with the exception of West Virginia - this is a pretty good batch of polls for the Democrats.

Don't think any Democrat can win statewide federal office in Missouri with Obama in the White House.

Blunt was never going to win by *that* much, but you have to understand that this race is over.  Knowing Missouri, he'll end up with 52-53% (like Kit Bond's initial run) and Carnahan will get 44-45%, but whatever.

If the race really was competative, the DSCC wouldn't be pulling funds.

I'll probably move this from Strong R back to Lean R but I basically agree with Sam's take. At least it shows us that PPP, even when they're doing internals, might be worthy of taking seriously.

I think you're probably right about that but I'm just saying that in general (FL GOV, WV SEN, IL SEN, this).

PPP showed similar numbers in IL-Sen, so that one's most likely on the money if nothing else. Anyway, Rasmussen & Gallup both showed a dip in President Obama's approval ratings today, so it's possible that the last day or two have just been more Republican-friendly for some reason.
