Seeing as how, although we do have a president, a vice president and a Cabinet although not yet a senate, I just thought people might like to consider this:

We don't exactly have much for the government to do here, so what do people think of our having say a committee of five people who cannot be in a position of power while on this who think up crisises and stuff like that and have our government have to pass legislations and the sort to rectify the problems, we could have international problems and state problems and all sorts e.g. a poor harvest or something. I just thought it may make things a bit more interesting here.

That seems like a Hughento idea...talk to him about it, he'd love it...better yet, try to force an amendment onto DemrepDan's constitution! Great! Smiley

I just reckon it may make things more interesting if the government have to deal with problems and it would be a good decision making exercise especially for us young'uns who may wish to be politicians/lawyers later on in life.

Lol, the hard school of an internet forum...when you win your first election you can say 'first off, I'd like to thank the people at the Atlas Forum who taught me my first insights into politics. Especiall Gustaf who was like a second father to me...etc' Grin Wink

you one of the youngest in your year then gustaf? i think you are year above me, if you are one of the youngest then you are.

on the point of more in depth.

I am proposing we create a crisis committee and say once every week or two weeks, they decide on a crisis to occur, be it economical, agricultural, environmental, human rights, peacekeeping, terrorist, international safety etc. Once they have decided upon one, they post it on the forum and send information to each member of the cabinet who with the president and vice president discuss what must be done, decide on what they think should be and try to pass it through congress (as we aren't having a house of reps it will just be the senate).
