Much closer than I thought, hopefully McDowell can pull off a win after all.

If Eric is reading this thread, does this seem right? Also, who is Wilson?

Wilson is a conservative tea-party type candidate, I believe.  If his support collapses closer to actual election day, I'd guess Benishek gets a majority of it.

Wilson threatened to spend $2 million of his own money, but actually has only spent like $100k. I doubt he gets 8%.

Sounds about right to me. McDowell's ad campaign has been highly effective so far in driving up Benishek's negatives. Surprising Wilson would be getting 8 percent however; kinda scary that many people find Benishek too far left.....

The district is fundamentally Democratic at the local level and McDowell is the perfect fit ideologically for it (as well as a good geographic fit); in any sane year this wouldn't be a close race at all.

The NRA endorsement of McDowell probably didn't hurt him either.
