....which event/s would you travel back to?

I would go back to the 1966 Football (Soccer) World Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, to see if the ball really did cross the line.

I would also go back to both the 1945 and 1997 UK General Election nights at Labour Party HQ, because the atmosphere would be...well....priceless.

Possibly second you on the Labour one, though it would have to be 1945.

Also, would go back in time and see early Skinny Puppy concerts - particularly when Nine Inch Nails opened for them. Dream concert right there. Damnit, why was I born in the 1990s?

Can I only watch? Or can I interact? If the latter I'd go to florida in the 2000 election and destroy as many polling places in republican countries as possible.

If the former, I'd go to some time before the invention of video to see some historic events. The birth of Jesus would be interesting for sure.

Does the "butterfly affect" apply?  Because that could complicate things...

Yeah... that would have been pretty amazing to have lived through.  I actually know a woman who escaped East Berlin... she was the only kid to get through.. her brother was shot and never seen again and her sister was caught and imprisoned and eventually allowed to live with their grandparents in East Berlin (her parents had already escaped).

But I've told that story before.  Irony of ironies.. she came to the U.S. and married a guy of Russian heritage.
