People are voting against Democrats, not for Tancredo. Recognize the difference.

That doesn't make it any less stupid.

BTW, I don't know why you're all panicking, not a single poll has shown Tancredo ahead, ever.

Ugh. Tancredo makes Medici look like a tolerant open progressive.

And this poll comes from one of the most Republican-leaning pollsters out there.

PPP tweet about their poll in the field in Colorado:
Also Colorado Gov really is starting to look pretty competitive.

Even if Tancredo isn't really a Republican, he obviously is getting his votes from Republicans and would benefit from a GOP-leaning sample if this is a biased pollster giving such samples.

Indeed. Nate Silver still has an 80% chance for a Hickenlooper victory, and RCP has the Hickster up by about 6 points, which is very good this late in the cycle.

If I live in CO and I'm brown, I'm packing just to be on the safe side.

Nah, some will think he's a fellow brown given his name Tongue

BTW, while Hickenlooper won't run any negative ads on principle, expect a flood of third party money from the left attacking Tancredo. It won't be hard to beat him down.

I think Colorado may have more stringent restrictions on such outside money for its statewide offices than other states

Colorado has strict personal donor limits - something like $400.  On the other hand, rich Colorado Democrats have been more than willing and able to get together in smoky back rooms and spend millions through 527s to put Democrats in power, especially in the state legislature.  Rich Colorado Republicans haven't played the game as well in recent previous cycles.

Money will always find a way into political campaigns - which is another reason campaign finance reform is always a complete failure (even setting aside First Amendment concerns).  Instead of candidates and parties calling the shots in Colorado, rich folks in a smoky back room do.

I think Colorado is moving in a republican direction, the senate race is definately is and so is the governor's race, I think the GOP wins both the governors race and senate races.

Remember, Colorado is fast becoming a vote-by-mail state, so even if Tancredo barely pulls ahead next week, it might be too late for him.

Hickenlooper might break his "no negative ads" pledge at this point.
