Most people's brothers in Kentucky are drug dealers.

Good thing drugs aren't a pressing issue, then.

Lol and all this after conway tried to use drugs as a wedge issue. What a joke. Kentucky is certainly vying with Nevada to win the sh**ttiest candidates award.

Generally, when your brother is the state attorney general, a few strings can be pulled on your behalf.

Considering that Conway has been hammering Paul over being "soft" on drugs, this actually does matter, though maybe this doesn't matter in terms of Conway's electability.

That being said, Rand Paul might want to stay away from this issue, as Conway can criticize Paul for attacking Conway's family, which would look hypocritical for Paul, seeing as Paul just lambasted Conway for personally attacking him.

Pushing the message of guilt by consanguinity is indeed a questionable endeavor.

This week it's okay to attack a candidate by his family's actions.

Unless there's evidence the candidate used influence to obstruct justice regarding such person of consanguinity.  As you said, the article isn't that well written, and I can't figure out if such evidence exists.

Did he sell drugs to Paul?

Anyways, it seems that to be President you have to have a disreputable brother. Roger Clinton, Neil Bush, and Billy Carter come to mind.

The issue isn't that Conway's brother is a drug dealer.  The issue is that it appears that Jack obstructed justice by warning his brother of the investigation and that his house was going to be searched.

Well, it just so happens that the individuals put in charge of investigating Conway's brother also are donors to Conway's campaign.

Scandal! Controversy! Jefferson County's Attorney is a progressive Democrat!

I find it funny that Paulbots are going after Conway's brother after years of being against the drug war.

No wonder Jack Conway loves the war on drugs so much...that's what keeps his brother in business!

Which is solid evidence that Conway acted improperly. Oh wait, it isn't. You're still just making things up. Stop trolling and grow up.

Let's lay out the known facts in this case:

1. Matthew Conway, brother of Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway, was placed under investigation for drug trafficking, something which happens to normal law-abiding citizens all the time.

2. One Detective Scott Wilson, a personal friend of M. Conway, who went to the same high school, told one Scott Roby, another personal friend of M. Conway, and a donor of $1250 to Jack Conway's senate campaign, that M. Conway was under investigation for drug trafficking.  Roby told M. Conway that he was under investigation.  Wilson then took it upon himself to personally inform M. Conway two days in advance that his house was going to be searched by police, and let M. Conway read the police complaint against him.

3. M. Conway was later placed under investigation for drug trafficking again, which happens to normal law-abiding citizens all the time.

4. M. Conway was then tipped off again by a narcotics detective, Ronald Russ, that he was under investigation.

5. At around the same time, a third narcotics detective, Chauncey Carthan, randomly decided to strike up a conversation with one Charles Alexander, a major donor and fundraiser for J. Conway's Senate campaign, and told him that M. Conway was under investigation for drug trafficking.  Alexander then told J. Conway that M. Conway was under investigation.

6. J. Conway hired a lawyer, Bart Adams, to represent M. Conway.  Adams called Russ and told him that “You’re fine, don’t worry about it. Everything’s good, don’t worry about it.”

7. M. Conway then lied to police and said that Russ did not tell him about the investigation.  An unidentified witness then told him (illegally) that their stories differed, and M. Conway offered a corrected account wherein he acknowledged that Russ told him about the investigation.

8. The cases were put in the hands of one prosecutor David Stengel, whose boss was J. Conway (the self-same J. Conway who at this point had been illegally informed of the investigations), and who donated $500 to J. Conway's Attorney General campaign.  Stengel determined that there wasn't any wrongdoing at all!

Nothing suspicious here!  Look away, look away!  Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

No one's saying the investigators acted improperly, dude. In fact, that's the focus of the article - not anything either Conway brother did. Matt Conway was never charged with any crime and here in America we presume he's innocent unless found guilty. The rest of your drivel is grasping at straws and trying to patchwork together unrelated facts into a conspiracy that you have no evidence for.

Your delusional hatred of Jack Conway is both tiresome and disturbing. I suggest you find better things to occupy your time with.
