Suffolk picked a better bellwether for California than they did in Connecticut - San Benito county, with an R+1.3 lean.  Santa Barbara, Alpine or Imperial might have been a little bit better just based on CA PVI, but San Benito is a pretty good one.

I don't buy this. The poll is skewed in the Democrats' favor.

As I said in a prevouis thread, I'm not sure I buy the idea Boxer is up 9.  I'm not saying she'll lose, I just think it's closer.  The NRSC is dumping another $3.8 million as of today, but they don't have a lot of people to defend either.

Suffolk's bellwether poll of San Benito County has Boxer up by 6, which sounds more plausible.
