ah, yeah, the unfiltered "official" position of russia regarding this whole mess.

kiselev is kind of the chef ideologue of the russian leadership.

they hate us and our liberal values and want to break us down and see mister trump as their trojan horse to accomplish those goals.

-Ladies and gentlemen, projection.

I wonder if the moderate cubicle slaves in the silicon valley will still come out to vote if the Sanders/Warren wing takes over.

It's not like we need them. The Democratic coalition is big enough that we can afford shedding some dead weight.

Coalition building: alienating a culturally influential and decently sized part of your current coalition in an attempt to appeal to a less reliable group of rural whites that aren't even common in your state.

Apparently elitism and dismissive attacks on a group of people is okay if you don't like them.

Missing the point completely.

The recent glorification by the left of the warmongering/neocon/evil to the core segment of the GOP simply because they oppose Trump is pathetic.

-Agreed. These people are sick. Cults of anti-personality (or cults of personality!) are never my cup of tea.

Literally burst into laughter at that.

How does this contradict me disagreeing with a power-crazy mod who is overreacting to a ton of sh[inks]? I'd say that I've been very consistent!

Well, you've been very committed to escalating the drama beyond that.

Literally all we've done is pointed out exactly what you've done and what it means, and that's the responsibility of members of any member of this forum. If you don't don't want drama to surround your actions, don't do stupid sh[inks] in the first place.

Were you not the one who escalated the entire situation with Averroes, by taking a post by him that wasn't even directed at you and decided the best course of action was to leak his reports? That's escalation; commenting on what you've done after the fact is not.

You know, there's a way to comment without increasing vitriol.

You know there's a way to respond to someone that doesn't open you up to further criticism?

You're not helping your case.

For my brother (who relies on Medicaid) to continue receiving care, there needs to be cuts to make it sustainable. This is worrisome, but it's not like we can continue on the same path. How much influence Ryan has over this process will determine my support.

If only the Dems were less partisan. The GOP blocked Obama at every turn while the Democrats whined about "muh bipartisanship." They should put their money where their mouths are and work with Trump on the single-payer plan that he himself floated in 2015. Much better alternative IMO.

You might want to cut out smoking the deathsticks if your family will want to have enough money to support him once they cut all the safety nest.
Go to hell.

Republicans ran on cutting this, your brother needs it to survive and yet you voted for the guys who want to cut what he needs to live. Maybe a cold punch of reality to the face is what you need, so it still stands, stop smoking your luxury cigarettes and prepare to save kiddo, the Republican world is hard.
Such an asshole.

Right wing populist, the new norm of the Republican party.

LOL, he hasn't done anything remotely "populist," you just desperately need for your political opposition to be a bunch of undesirables so that you feel cooler.
Of course, he does try (poorly) to cover himself with this edit.

More to the point, left-wing populism is the opposite of "undesirable".

Relevancy to the irony oremine?

Jfern the closet Trump supporter may as well be a child with how immature and butthurt he is about last year's Democratic primary...

(often coming down to calling policies that were the accepted law of the land just a decade ago irredeemably evil)

Those two things are not even remotely mutually exclusive.

I'd give up on politics for a little while. It'd be clear to me at that point that the Democratic Party will never change in the way it should. Maybe I'll focus on local politics, see what I can do in Louisiana or Georgia regarding activism, but federal politics would be a sport I'd no longer want to spectate.

You’d be so dismayed by a president who supports single-payer that you’d stop caring about politics. You voted for Trump in a swing state. Why aren’t you a Republican again?
A neoliberal essentially calls someone (that person being an ancestral Democrat) a DINO. Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle black?
He doesn't support "liberalization" of the economy AFAIK.

Who?  SG or Heat?  SG is decidedly left on economic matters.

Heat, and by "liberalization", I mean deregulation, tax cuts, etc.

In my mind, voting for a pro-choice candidate when there is a pro-life candidate in the race, makes you an accomplice to murder.  That could never be prosecuted, but that's how I feel.
I feel the same about Hillary. Anyone who voted for her out of the genuine belief that she'd be a good President as opposed to just not being Trump is by definition a very, very bad person.

- You can be racist to whites, saying you can’t is a tumblrite excuse for your bigotry and hatred.

Rip me

What a brave man, making such a bold statement ;(

Unpopular opinion: most AZ users (with the exclusion of Cactus and some others) are trash. I don’t understand the issue with you, like I’ve never gone after you, yet you show up randomly and jump on my case.

I think the heat makes the Arizona posters overly aggressive. They always seem to be enraged about something.

Whereas you're a dick just because.
Even though IceSpear constantly pisses on my WV family, I still find him inherently more interesting and pleasant than you or that other I-AZ avatar. You guys need to tone it down. Or sit on a cactus. Either one.

Supporting an immoral ideology is a grave moral failing. To claim otherwise means to be fundamentally unserious about one's political beliefs.

Of course, everyone has their moral failings and we shouldn't be too quick to judge people for them, but I thought "terrible person" was pretty widely accepted forum hyperbole for someone who does something that's clearly bad and is unrepentant about it.

So, to be clear, if I regularly volunteer at homeless shelters and donate a large portion of my income to charity, but I oppose welfare legislation, then I’m a terrible person?

Yes, actually

That is some pretty terrible logic there.
