Sestak being within a reasonable distance of Toomey definitely gives some hope.

If it does turn out the be an exit poll of just PA-15 that's pretty good news for Sestak as Toomey used to represent that district..

Muhlenberg Exit Poll in PA from 7-10 AM:

Toomey - 51%

Sestak - 47%

I'm thinking this was just a rounding error since 2% of voters clearly aren't writing someone in for this race.

Uh... ? That'd be pretty decent for Sestak, no? Democrats tend to come out at night...

No, Republicans usually do.

And realize that this poll was only for 7-10 AM. These are usually the best hours for the Dems.

We must be in touch with very different kinds of Democrats then!

you should probably ask either President Kerry or mypalfish about the accuracy of exit polling.

I'm well aware of the history, Wargotz. We have to talk about something for now though. Tongue

Yeah, that exit poll better not be from PA 15 because Toomey is supposed to have strong numbers out of the region.

We're already getting worked up over something that probably means almost nothing. It must be election day! Good times.

Haven't you guys heard?? My peronal exit poll of PA has Sestak up 9 points and Onorato up 4. This totally means the Dems will hold all their senate seats. Best day of my life!

That's getting worked up about nothing. Some careful remarks about an actual exit poll are quite something different IMO.

Not to worry Phil. PA-15 was 2% more Dem than the state as a whole for Obama (the man really on the ballot everywhere) in 2008, with Obama getting a 12% margin, versus 10% for the state (I just looked it up on LEIPS, cuz I am a premium member Tongue)). Plus exit polls tend to have a bit of a Dem bias (just why a Pubbie would go to a polling place if it could at all be avoided, escapes me Smiley).

But that's Toomey's old district.

Yes, but just the Eastern timezone parts of each state.  The networks won't call anything until at least an hour later, when the polls close in the rest of the state.

How on earth did we all miss CT-2 from the dead  Dem list?  Tongue  A Pubbie, after about 20 hits from the bong and a few lines, might begun to have hallucinations that the Pubbie House count from New England might go from zero, to double digits.

Not sure if this is the place I should ask, but what websites are you guys using to track all the races tonight? A lot of races so I'm wondering what sites are easiest to navigate around to find the up to date results?

Thanks!

I'm well aware of the history, Wargotz. We have to talk about something for now though. Tongue

well, I only predicted the race would tighten if a huge (+100) GOP wave was building, but I didn't realize Wargotz was a RINO, I just figured he was a generic REP.  Even a +150 GOP wave couldn't bring Wargotz across the finish line as a winner.

By the way, I could not move my gym appointment up, so I won't be back home to watch the elections until about 9pm EST.  I hope you all can tolerate my absence. Tongue
