Thanks so much for delivering the NV, DE, and most likely, CO senate races. We, literally, could not have done it without you. Please keep nominating your fine candidates. Sarah Palin would make a great GOP presidential nomineee.

This tea party nonsense has got to stop if the Republicans want to keep winning elections.  Last night was proof and should be a wake up call.  The GOP should have won so many more races than they did, but they lost because of the tea party.  They may not have won the senate, but they sure would've been a whoooole lot closer had these fools never been nominated.

So KY and FL were guaranteed pub victories without any Tea influence?  And what about all the House seats memphis?  Governor races?  Local races?

I was going to say your posting sounded smug, but it cries of frustration.......but you're not alone this morning.

It's just a wing of the pub party, and the pubs cleaned house last night.

Yeah, enjoy your useless Senate majority.

It's better than a useless Senate minority, or even a smaller majority dependent on Lieberman.

I care less about the next Congress than I do about the changes locked in for the next six years, and in that sense, it's a big damn relief to hold CO, NV, and DE. That said, I really really really hope Harry Reid retires next time. REALLY PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

It's not useless Morgan, in all honesty.  Think judges, trade agreements, etc....  But I don't buy his argument the GOP got screwed.

I'd actually argue that yes, FL and KY would have gone Republican without the tea party, and Reid would have been defeated had anyone but Angle been nominated. We all know Castle would have beaten Coons, regardless of what Sarah Palin claims.

Yeah, enjoy your useless Senate majority.

Yeah, enjoy your useless House majority with a Democratic White House, "useless" Senate majority plus Boehner having a headache managing factions within his caucus.

You think Meek would have had a chance in hell against Crist? Erm.... yeah. KY was certainly not going to vote Dem this year either.

Of course. Meek would get demolished by Crist badly, if Crist were Republican nominee and if there would be just Rubio v. Crist, with Meek useless ass out of contest, Crist would win as well.

And Kentucky? Conway would beat Paul in a year like 2006 or 2008. No Democrat would win in 2010 here. Democrats have really bad luck for Kentucky. In 2004 with unknown candidate, they would useat Bunning had there been no Bush coattails. In 2008 Lunsford gives McConnell troubles, but wasn't the dude to win.

If Jim Bunning could win twice, it's hardly a guarantee that Paul would have lost had he run in 2006 and 2008. Of course he likely wouldn't have been able to win the GOP primary during the Bush era.

Without the turnout and narrative that the Tea Party delivered, Pubs might not have even won the House.
