I'm actually fairly confident that Sharron Angle has never actually lost a general election before going up against Reid.

Yay.  I hope Buck returns, and Miller if he loses.  There may be hope yet.

As do I. Nothing would be better for us than the GOP deciding to nominate the same horrific candidates again.

Seriously do you see Democrats screaming that they want Martha Coakley to run again?

I'm not a Republican partisan, so I could care less how many Mitch McConnell clones are in the Senate.  I want people who will provide a libertarian (or in the case of Miller, Buck, and Angle, paleoconservative, which is the second-best) perspective in the Senate.

Yeah, good thing the Democrats didn't make the mistake of bringing back that loser Grover Cleveland in 1892. And Richard Nixon could certainly never win anything after losing in 1960. Good thing Abe Lincoln gave up on politics after he kept losing to Stephen Douglas.

None of those comparisons are relevant.

None of those defeats were in wave years for their party.

Tricky Dick was actually a two-time loser by 1968.

If Sharron Angle could not defeat someone as unpopular as Harry Reid during a GOP wave year, who the hell can she beat?

The people and particulars do not matter. BRTD's implication that because Angle lost a race, she'll automatically lose any other race, was patently ridiculous.

And Coakley got re-elected as AG.

How many races has Angle lost by now?  Ninety-five?

Politics is for winners.

I doubt she'd get the nomination again after losing to Harry Reid, who was supposed to be finished. Since the state is gaining a district, she'll probably run in that new district, which will likely mean a primary challenge to Heller since the new one will be Washoe anchored where both are from.

You know who else ran for US Senate and lost in a wave year for his party?

Harry Reid.

When he did that was he running against someone as popular as he is now??   Was he viewed as being completely bats*** crazy the way Angle is??

Ronald Reagan was also seen as a perennial loser and a nutcase before he won.  Nobody thought that of him afterwards.

Who saw him as a perennial loser? He only lost one race!
