ARIZONA - JOHN KYL (R)
CALIFORNIA - DIANNE FEINSTEIN (D)

-Given the poor performance of Bush in California will the Republicans even contest this seat?

CONNECTICUT - JOE LIEBERMAN (D)

-Looserman is still arround?  Oh it is Connecticut that explains it.

DELAWARE - TOM CARPER (D)
FLORIDA - BILL NELSON (D)

-Will he be the next southern democrat to go down to defeat?

HAWAII - DANIEL AKAKA (D)
INDIANA - RICHARD LUGAR (R)
MAINE - OLYMPIA SNOWE (R)

- Isn't she a RHINO?  Will she be targeted in the primary?

MARYLAND - PAUL SARBANES (D)

- Same question as California.

MASSACHUSETTES - EDWARD M KENNEDY (D)

- Same question as California.

MICHIGAN - DEBBIE STABENOW (R)

Who?  An R from Michigan?  Bye bye.

MINNESOTA - MARK DAYTON (D)
MISSISSIPPI - TRENT LOTT (R)

He's still around?!?  Oh it's mississippi that explains it.

MISSOURI - JIM TALENT (R)
MONTANA - CONRAD BURNS (R)
NEBRASKA - BEN NELSON (D)
NEVADA - JOHN ENSIGN (R)
NEW JERSEY - JON CORZINE (D)
NEW MEXICO - JEFF BINGAMAN (D)
NEW YORK - HILLARY CLINTON (D)
NORTH DAKOTA - KENT CONRAD (D)

A repeat of South Dakota?

OHIO - MIKE DEWINE (R)
PENNSYLVANIA - RICK SANTORUM (R)

Seems out of step with Pennsylvania, but I'm guessing he'll win.

RHODE ISLAND - LINCOLN CHAFEE (R)

Another RHINO that will be targeted.

TENNESSEE - BILL FRIST (R)
TEXAS - KAY BAILEY HUTCHISON (R)
UTAH - ORRIN HATCH (R)
VERMONT - JIM JEFFORDS (I)
VIRGINIA - GEORGE ALLEN (R)

Oh I see why he flip-flopped on the Clinton gun ban.

WASHINGTON - MARIA CANTWELL (D)
WEST VIRGINIA - ROBERT C BYRD (D)
WISCONSIN - HERB KOHL (D)
WYOMING - CRAIG THOMAS (R)

So by my completely uninformed opinion - R's start with 16 and will keep 13.  D's start with 17 (inc the I) and will keep 15.  That leaves 5 that can change.

Thoughts?
