Just wanted to see where people stand a year before the caucuses and primaries get under way. Name your top pick and a few others you would support.

For me:

Rick Santorum, Chris Christie, Tim Pawlenty, Mike Pence and John Thune

Gary Johnson.

I'll most likely vote for whomever the nominee is though.

This is asking who you want to see as the nominee.  Wink

Gingrich

Eric Cantor if he were a candidate too.

I may be interested in Thune or Daniels if they preform well in the debates and such

I will support Mitt Romney, but I wouldn't mind Thune, Daniels, or Christie winning.

For me, a tossup between Daniels and Romney.

I would probably vote for Obama over Huckabee.

I'm undecided.

I was leaning towards Pence, but since he is running for Governor of Indiana in 2012, he is no longer viable for the Presidency in 2012.

John Thune, Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee, Haley Barbour and Mitt Romney are all possible for me to support.

This is a far cry from November 2006, when, following George Allen's fall, I was solidly behind John McCain for two years.

I would most enthusiastically support Rubio and Pence in the primary.  In the general, I would support pretty much any Republican.

I would prefer someone who is not a 2008 retread, but I could live with Huckster or Mittens. Really anyone but Palin will do.

In the perfect world I would handpick Mitch Daniels or Bobby Jindal.

I want Jeb Bush to run.  I'm not sure he will, but this race sets up perfectly for him.  Obama's brand is poor and, based on recent polling in Ohio, the Bush name is not dog food anymore.  Let's not forget he nails down Florida.

I could get on board with Romney, but not wholeheartedly.  I have problems running a retread who was so unsuccessful against such a weak field.  I haven't really seen Romney doing a lot to re-manage his brand either.

David Patreaus is a name I see all of the time, but we know nothing about his views.  Word is he is a New England style Republican.  A deficit hawk sounds great except until he raises taxes.

I wish we could clone Calvin Coolidge.

His brother says he's definitely not running:

as does Jeb himself:

I've seen all of those quotes, but I can find a whole bunch of quotes from Obama saying the same thing.  Until we're in the heat of the battle next Spring and Jeb says no, I still think he may run.
