Today, Judicial Overlord Dibble ordered for a special election for the office of Lieutenant Governor, or Lord of Darkness, as some call it. I am announcing my candidacy for this office.

In my short time as an unconstitutional Lieutenant Governor, I checked in at least twice a day to set up time for debates, votes, etc. I have shown that I am commited to serve the people of the IDS, and I look forward to legitimatley serving them this next time around. Should I become Governor, the platform of the Dixiecrat Party (outlined in the party thread) is my platform. A nice centrist blend, with left-of-center economic positions, and slightly right-of-center social positions.

Thank you, and I ask for your vote when the booth opens.

If elected would you change for name to Lord of Darkness KS21 or Lt. Governor KS21?

I would opt for the title Lieutenant Governor.

But this really ought not to be an issue, the question should be can I get the job done, not what title I would use.

But I find the title Lord of Darkness, well, too dark.

I like you, so I'll endorse you. I think the term Lord Darkness is a little too dark myself. Tongue

That's too bad - because there isn't actually a position called Lt. Governor in our constitution. We amended it out in favor of darkness.

This really is a non-issue. And yes, there is a position, while called Lord of Darkness, that carries out the same duties as a not-so-dark-sounding Lieutenant Governor would do.

Au contraire, my friend, there isn't a position of Lt. Governor even if it carries out the same duties. We amended the constitution and changed the title with this vote. The text of the amendment reads "changed" - it's not an alternative title, it is the title.

Now don't make me bust out my gavel.

Endorsed, for being a highly capable Lord of Darkness (despite not actually holding the office). Tongue

I would like to thank everyone that supported me in this campaign. And thank you to the citizens of the IDS for giving the Dixiecrat Party it's first electoral victory.

And I would thank everyone else who endorsed me. I am proud to have recieved endorsments form members of every major party, including the endorsments of party chairmen MilesC56 of the Dixiecrat Party and NC Yank of the RPP.

In my brief campaign for legislature, I outlined a plan to colloaborate with all parties, and I hope that plan can become reality. We need to move beyond partisan politics that is leading to problems in Atlasia today and put the people of Atlasia first again.

Thanks again, everyone!!!!!

Is there a reason why Lieutenant is misspelled in your signature?
