New membership is fine, as long as it is fairly balanced. When it's not, it can only worry any people who care about the game. What is "unsportsmanlike" is when a party can't stand losing a couple of elections and decides to win the next one by drowning it with new recruits.

Let's put it that way. We had 4 new members that joined Atlasia, all of which coming from the RPP. Let not make an approfondite analysis about what exactly we should expect from a random new member to do, and assume he has a 20% to join the JCP, the UDL, the RPP, the POPs or becoming an independent. The probability of 4 new members joining the same party is 0.2^4 = 0.16%. The same reasoning can be made for independents joining a party.

Also, when I said one month, it was in fact 15 days.

What do you want to do then? Force people to join parties they don't belong in to make it fair? Or pass up the opportunities entirely? There is no damn conspiracy, there is no organized effort to "drowned the game".  The RPP has always tried to recruit whenever possible and after several months with only 1 or 2 recruits that were actually new while 5 or 6 were falling off the rolls over the same period, I don't see what the damn problem is.

Don't see why membership needs to be 'balanced', really. (Though, that's been the whining cry of the right-wing for the last year or so) Quality of membership is really the only key.

I don't say new membership must be perfectly balanced. My point is that when new membership is so ridiculously unbalanced, it means that one party is engaging into practices that threaten the game.
