Just curious: Although the Census Bureau has done a great job keeping timely track of the voter rolls, shouldn't the Wiki page of registered voters also be updated? Last update there was almost a year ago.

And to think, just several months ago even some of the RPP's stalwarts were saying they were dead in the water.

You're way behind the times, badger. We thought we were dead in the water about a year and a few months ago. We stabilized at the end of last year when I rode a wave of goodwill into the senate and yankee took the party's reigns. Wink

I'm going to try and work on updating this, though it'll take a while and may span over a period of time. Tongue What's really out of date is the Citizen's List. I'm assuming that's so that you could easily find a former citizen's page.

In the end of this year we see some new members, some are old newbies Wink

This December seems to be a good time for the RPP.

Half of whom are already established members with lengthy histories in Atlasia & a fourth of whom has been posting on the forum for ten months now, albeit at a rather leisurely pace. I thought that such was an acceptable mode of recruitment.

Nothing like Jealousy. Tongue

Sometimes I wonder if the Atlasian left wants the game to just die rather then see it move even slightly to the right.

I've no problem with any of the recruits save for the freak who fakes brain tumors for attention. The only thing I think is worth pointing out is the obvious. If they were JCP or UDL members, you wouldn't be cheering them on. If they joined the Populares, Rowan wouldn't be defending them. The more members the better, so long as they hopefully turn out as productive and useful members of the game.

True, though I also don't think any of us would be rolling our eyes were the JCP the party that saw a windfall of new members. I think the issue is that some of us saw that comment as unsportsmanlike.

You know, I seriously wouldn't mind a right-wing surge in the Pacific.  I'm not saying it should be encouraged just to balance the region, but more active members from the left and right in the region would be greatly appreciated.

New membership is fine, as long as it is fairly balanced. When it's not, it can only worry any people who care about the game. What is "unsportsmanlike" is when a party can't stand losing a couple of elections and decides to win the next one by drowning it with new recruits.

Let's put it that way. We had 4 new members that joined Atlasia, all of which coming from the RPP. Let not make an approfondite analysis about what exactly we should expect from a random new member to do, and assume he has a 20% to join the JCP, the UDL, the RPP, the POPs or becoming an independent. The probability of 4 new members joining the same party is 0.2^4 = 0.16%. The same reasoning can be made for independents joining a party.

Also, when I said one month, it was in fact 15 days.

Back in the days of DWTL, I could understand your explanation. However, nowadays, when a new liberal joins, such as liberalkid, who joined in the Mideast, they get hello's from both sides, and at least don't have conservatives bashing them. However, almost every single time a new member joins the RPP/POP, while they may get one nice liberal, almost every one of them recieves a snidely remark from the left. While the conservative wing of Atlasia might be responsible for a small portion of this issue, I'd argue that the left has contributed much more to it.

I've nothing against the recruits, most of thems seem fine. I have problems with the action itself of recruiting.

I was primarily referring to RPP members there, though I will admit that it was rather unclear. Tongue Roll away!
