I respectfully disagree. Every time Atlasia comes close to such a thing, one of the sides splinters. This time around, we were heading to a two party state with the RPP/POP unity ticket, but the left split (seemingly irrevocably) ending any hopes/worries of the two party system.

If you look at the Northeast, you'll notice that the RPP/POP alliance is rather uneasy on some levels. We united to elect a ticket to the White House, but we are not quite the single party we may appear to be.

That may be true, but you are heading toward unity, rather than away from it. An any given time, one side is splintering or has already splintered.

Largely because the respective parties have become less splinter-prone with time. The RPP & the POP are certainly no more unified with each other than they were four months ago.

I'll believe it if you say it. You should know best about your party after all. Tongue

This is the last update of the voter list before the special elections.

tuckerbanks was banned in December. I forget him to deregister. Now he is deregistrated.

ChairmanSanchez changed his Party to Populares/RPP. He is now listed among other parties, because this isn't a existing Party.

The real milestone will be when the number independents surpasses the number of populares; something that isn't too far fetched considering the UDL's recent implosion.

The RPP's getting tied with the JCP is quite surprising.

And it's not as if it's the UDL messing up things, since we only have two more members than the Pops. So the left only has a 56-54 registration advantage. Quite surprising.

If anyone's curious, here's the percentage breakdown of the parties, based on the most recent update:

Northeast: 30.8% POP, 28.2% JCP, 17.9% RPP, 7.7% UDL (7.7% other, 7.7% independent)

Mideast: 42.9% RPP, 14.3% JCP, 10.7% UDL, 7.1% POP (7.1% other, 17.9% independent)

Southeast: 41.7% RPP, 16.7% JCP, 12.5% POP, 4.2% UDL, (4.2% other, 20.8% independent)

Midwest: 34.8% JCP, 34.8% UDL, 8.7% RPP, 4.3% POP (13.0% other, 4.3% independent)

Pacific: 32.0% JCP, 24.0% UDL, 16.0% RPP, 8.0% POP (8.0% other, 12.0% independent)

National: 25.2% JCP, 25.2% RPP, 15.1% UDL, 14.4% POP (7.9% other, 12.2% independent)

And here's a rough measure of ideology! I'm not taking into account minor parties, independent voters, or intraparty political differences, just combining the percentages of the two leftist parties and the two rightist parties.

Northeast: 48.7% rightist, 35.9% leftist
Mideast: 50.0% rightist, 25.0% leftist
Southeast: 54.2% rightist, 20.9% leftist
Midwest: 69.6% leftist, 13.0% rightist
Pacific: 56.0% leftist, 24% rightist
National: 40.3% leftist, 39.6% rightist

It also has the lowest rate of minor party membership. Independents+others is the same in the South & Mideast, making up a quarter of all voters.
