I voted agnostic, though I do celebrate some Jewish and Christian holidays.

My family celebrates the major Chirstian holidays as well as the Jewish feast days, but not the jewish fast days.

Very fattening religion.

Lutheran, although I think that's too broad of a term since I belong to the liberal ELCA denomination, which is nothing at all like the ultra-conservative WELS denomination.

Philip, you should have stayed away.  BRTD is a Christian, more so, perhapes than you are.

Anyway, I am Catholic, I don't say Roman Catholic, because I'm not to certain about that anymore.  I find the Byzantine Catholic Church much more inviting these days, but I am Catholic, regardless of rite.

When opebo is one of your favorite posters, calling yourself a Christian is a stretch.

That is for God to dictate, not you.

Other-  Officially a Roman Catholic, but I disagree with what they selectively want me to believe so it's hard to say at this point.  I've denounced the church frequently as of late and I probably should have been excommunicated.  I'll probably go to Christmas Mass mainly to socialize and because of family continuity.

This is what I don't understand about people who claim to be "Christian". They believe in God and respect him yet when the church teaches biblical rules and how to live a religious life then the church is 'forcing religion on them'.

That's the best part about having a nondenominational religion: you get to just make stuff up and no one can criticize you for not following what your religion teaches! Cheesy

What's the difference between making up your own fiction and getting one from someone else?

I actually take the opposite view.  I feel the best way to connect to God is to interpret religion for yourself, NOT get it through a church heirarchy.

Anyway, I'm agnostic.  I don't believe in hell and I don't care if God exists or not.

I like Joe Lieberman.  He is one of my favorite politicians.  He is also not a Christian.  Am I, therefore, not a Christian?
