Yep, that's the same guy who was buddy-buddy with GOP state senator Russell Pearce, author of Arizona's infamous immigration law.

Ugh. Now this proves my point about these teabagger types being dangerous.

Well I suppose some justice is that Pearce has been recalled and removed from office.

Incredibly broad generalizations aren't at all helpful here.

I bet you wouldn't have said that if it was a Muslim.

Actually, yes he would.  I know Shua and he isn't prone to making cheap political points in the wake of tragedy.

So next time think before you decide to be a jackass.

Since just about every "type" of person has had some member who has committed murder, or been involved in a murder-suicide, we can generalize your "point" to note that every group out there is "dangerous!"

What that doesn't prove is whether, or not, "teabagger types" are any more "dangerous" than the general population.

I wouldn't really call it hypocritical, just a bad moment.

We all have them.

Well, considering I was making a broad generalization myself.....
Yeah, we all have those moments.

I feel sorry for Ready's family, but not for JT Ready himself. What a scumbag. Russell Pearce is not as bad, but still terrible. I'm ashamed that Arizona leaders in the LDS Church (my own faith) let the racist Pearce baptize and ordain that Neo-Nazi Ready into our membership.

And that would, of course, be correct. Though it would also be correct that not much follows from it.

(More to the point, J.T. Ready was an unbalanced individual and not politically typical of tea party people, not even in Arizona. Though there's an, ahem, special flavor to the Arizona right - which of course helps explain the Pearce pics.)

The leader of the border patrol group issued a statement that noted Jason Ready attended one watch. While there, Ready attempted to pass out literature the group found unacceptable. And, as a result, he was escorted off the watch and told never to return.

So much for the bllsh#t claim, "Border militia leader...."

Only someone like BigSkyBob would actually defend the border militia.

I'm not so sure. It depends on what they are being accused of by folks and why. I could see there being sets of circumstances under which I would feel compelled to "defend" them in one way or another, even though I do not think border militias should exist.

Wouldn't you want to defend the decision of the border militia to want to have nothing to do with Jason Ready?

It would seem that a false accusation that Jason Ready was one of their "leaders" when in fact he had been expelled on his first day and told never to come back is one such set of circumstances.

After that particular incident, Ready founded two border militia groups; the 'Minuteman Civil Defense Corps' and the 'U.S. Border Guard'.  Therefore, he was a border militia leader.
