You are of course aware of the fact that these kind of meta-statements are as fallacial as whatever I just said in a genuine outburst of disgust. These people are hellbent on not having anyone else anywhere near a half-decent life and as such are unworthy of their own luxurious existence as far as I am concerned. You may think they make some valid points. I know they don't. Because in the end their argument boils down to: 'these people should not have an existence that is modest compared to mine, cause if they do I would have to suffer irrational fears for a tiny fall in my own standard of life.'

I think that that kind of reasoning, even if it would contains some amount of truth, just shows how incredibly selfish most anti-immigration types are and as I have said before: to me that's just basically forfeiting your right to any bit of compassion.

To answer your example without ground in reality with one that has some ground at least: how would you like if Native Americans decided to go around and ask for your greencard issued by the United Tribes of North America. In fact Native Americans would be at least sort of justified to do so since arguably you guys are the most rotten immigrants ever, just killing the hell out of them and stuff.  You on the other hand have never been hurt by any illegal immigrant whatsoever, and IMO have not an awfully convincing case to make when you protest immigration of any kind whatsoever.

And how would you assume to know that? I live in an area with the same sort of immigration problems that other border states like mine have.
