Atlasians, one and all!

The present state of the Northeast region has spurred me into action; evidenced a few hours ago by announcing my candidacy for a seat, that I once held for a mere few weeks! (Well, somebody was going to mention it sooner or later; as well as my in actions during my second term as Lieutenant Governor; brief tenure as Governor; none in the slightest when I served in the Atlasian Senate - and yet I somehow wanted to be PPT? Thank God the likes of Lewis and Ebowed supported Colin - they knew the mistake before it happened!)

Anyway...

Indeed, I may be a serial retiree; indeed, I may not have a clue what are the current ongoing of Atlasia, in particular the Northeast - that I don't deny. But what I will not deny, if somehow elected in the coming days is the right for our populace to be heard within the chamber. (Well, it flowed off the tongue rather well, but I think I might have over killed it). And surely, wouldn't the current majority, while an awful nice bunch of people want a socialist to pick on? Come on people, it would make the parliamentary process fun again.

Good and Good Luck.

You have my endorsement; I don't think you have to worry too much though considering the Assembly-seat-to-active-member ratio in the Northeast. Tongue

Why thank you...Senator? Wow, it's been a while in these parts. How did that happen?

Stranger things have happened Libertas, stranger things have happened.

Populares practically took over the Northeast Region for a good long while and with all those numbers, it's fairly easy to elect just about anyone you want in an at-large race. Tongue

Ah, thanks for clearing that up Marokai.

But why would they want to elect me? I am partial to offers of being a Manchurian Candidate, but the Assembly currently has too many of those from what I have heard. So, maybe not. Oops.

The power elites failed to account for every possible outcome, so I slipped through the cracks.

Do not make this into another partisan bickering thread, Marokai. What does regional power have to do with winning two at-large Senate races anyway?

First things first, belated congratulations.

Secondly, yay for fucking with the establishment!

While I do appreciate the support, I am at a loss as to my relations with you - therefore classified by you as a 'friend'. You weren't working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, were you by any chance?

Oh Mech, it's not the first time either. An honest depiction of my tenure in office can be found in my speech. And, if you have the time I can tell you a wonderful tale that involves backstabbing; a clear run to the NE Governorship - only to be tempted by the Vice Presidency of the Republic. But in the process made the Northeast better...well, for at least 12 months.

Endorsed just for the cursing.  Always good.

The formalities of office will not censor the freedom of speech.

Bump

If I win, it will prove how farcical our beloved Northeast has become: and I will therefore seek the Presidency of the Republic; not that I have anything against the incumbent, the honourable President Fritz and Vice President Kalwejt. Folks, it's the only office I haven't quit.

End the Nightmare.

Continue the Nightmare.

Personification of what's wrong with the Northeast. Vote for a man who treats the office with respect, despite inactivity.

Vote Rocky.

Comrades

I would like to begin by informing you all; my neglected Northeasterners, that voting is currently under way, to decide who will fill the vacant seat/s in the Legislative Assembly.

Indeed this maybe shameless self promotion of my candidature - my campaign, after all has thus far has been nothing than a farce. It has been brutally honest and I may have called upon the conservative populace to elect me; so those, currently residing in the Assembly can make me a scapegoat - based purely on my newfound political views. And yet behind this facade, I am desperately trying to maintain, I am deeply concerned about our region's stability.

I'm not calling upon you to vote for me, because I, like you are concerned about our region's evident inactivity; nor am I calling upon you to vote for me because my presence in the Assembly will overnight lead to its demise. In fact, I’m not calling upon you to vote for me at all. As evidenced during my last tenure as public servant: in the capacity of Lieutenant Governor; Governor, even member of the Legislative Assembly, I embodied the current epidemic.

All I’m calling upon you to do, my fellow Northeasterners; who decide to vote in an election that will inevitably appease the status quo is to vote. If you vote in accordance with those who at their own freewill, stifle political debate with much ease, I can’t hold that against you – for it is you that will decide the outcome; you who will decide whether or not our stability shall be continued to be compromised.
