Eliminate
3 Matchstick Men
1 Hannibal

Keep
Gladiator*
Black Rain

*I've always liked its score and cinematography.  I'd probably call it a perfect movie were it remotely historically accurate.

I 't really care about any of the other ones in danger.  Blade Runner, if only so my vote isn't invalidated.

I'm kind of torn here.  Do I throw Gladiator, despite its wonderful cinematography and soundtrack, under the bus to save Black Rain?

*whimpers indeciseively*

Thelma and Louise, of course.

Alien goes next.  I watched it the other day, and it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as I remembered.  It may partly be The Blonde's fault, though; she tends to degrade the experience for me.

I wanted to wait for Magic but, considering his previous vote, it wouldn't have changed anything...
Sad

You were right, homelycooking, this is the first survivor ever I really regret to have launched.
Not a majority of great "contenders", many bad surprises, weird rules...
Well, the fact that the land was very divided among us has given a little suspense, but it wasn't great...
Sorry, guys.
Edu might be the only one to have a small reason to rejoice, as Gladiator won't win.

Anyway, let's try to have the expected final round.

6 for Thelma & Louise

Actually, the only reason I voted against Gladiator that round was to attempt to save Black Rain, not that it would have ensured its survival.  Fab, what do you do in case of a tie?  Run-off or executive decision?

Either way, I don't think this is all that bad a survivor; its rules aren't out of place and Scott's movies are widely, though often overly, praised.

Ah.  Pity I wasn't around, then.  I far prefer Gladiator with its flaws to Thelma and Louise.

Of course you won't drop it, and the reason for that is why you were made our leader. Smiley

Alien certainly hasn't aged well, but that's only one thing I don't like about it.  The movie doesn't show basic things like how the crew stopped the acid from eating through the ship and stuff like that.  Or does it in an extended scene?

How's Blade Runner snobbish?

Except if you have a Ingmar Bergman survivor Grin but it would be so boring in a way.
And, well, it doesn't fit the definition of this sub-board Wink.

Though it was weird, the Tarantino survivor was OK because it was coherent.

A Bergman survivor would be awesome.

Mmmm... we'll see... Wink

Too subtle? Smiley

(Gosh, I've forgotten to use it in the chess survivor !)

Well, it may be difficult to find many forumers who have seen a majority of Bergman's films (as for me, I must acknowledge I may be at 40%, something like that).

And it's really out of the definition of this sub-board... But, one day,... Wink
