Too bad most Americans are more interested in obsessively following Dancing with the Stars, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry than giving any rational thought to how the budget situation could realistically be improved. This problem isn't going to magically go away without serious cuts and/or tax increases.

You guys treat polls like holy scripture.

When polls support you, they are to be taken advantage of it.
When polls disagree with you they are to be overcome.
When polls are mixed they are to be spun to your best benefit.
and sometimes you just have to say "damn the polls, full spead ahead"

Its takes leadership to change public opinion substantially or convince people that something is essentiall for the country.
