Let's say the Republicans for whatever reason decide to nominate Keyes in 2000. What's a map look like?

note: Despite what many might think, Keyes would not win the Dakotas.

 Gore.

As of 2000 he was a good solid candidate who's attempt to revive "southern populism" I thought (gun rights excepted) was a very positive move by the party... however Gore circa 2003 I'd only vote for reluctantly, shame really... what ever happened to the thoughtful moderate Al Gore?
