I've said it before, Klobuchar has spent her term in the Senate carefully crafting a friendly, inoffensive, center-left image. I'm not surprised that this one isn't looking particularly competitive.

Hasn't Sen. Klobuchar always had sky-high approvals? Assuming that she runs again, I'm fairly sure this race could go in the Safe Dem column and stay there for the next two years.

Basically.  I'd be shocked if someone like a Paulsen ran against her, as risk-averse as I'm sure he is.  Instead, someone crazy will probably take her on.  I'm hoping Bachmann does, just so she goes down in flames.

Bachmann won't run unless her district is carved up.

Franken at net approval makes Smiley

A surprise to see Coleman with net favorables. I would have thought he would be in Bachmann territory if not worse after his actions in recount.

This is very similar to PPP, even though it's 1 year old:

Don't think it has changed a lot though in the meantime.

(I even think Rasmussen once showed Franken with positive approvals this fall.)

I'd assume a small segment of Minnesotans who didn't support him are waking up to the fact that he is not Jesse Ventura.  He'll always be polarizing, but I hope this trajectory continues.
