A 10-point popular vote margin and 80% of EVs. 1980 narrowly missed being a landslide (Reagan won by 9.73% of the PV despite winning the 3rd biggest EV "landslide" in history). While largely forgotten today, there exists a contiguous mass of states: KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, AR-- where Carter received more PVs than Reagan, but won only 12 EVs compared to Reagan's 72: Carter won GA by 15 points and lost each of the other 7 (in addition to MA) by 0-2 points.
