In a hypothetical scenario where Obama faces four different primary opponents in 2012 (Hillary Clinton, Russ Feingold, Mike Gravel, and Howard Dean) who would you vote for?  Democrats, Democratic-leaning Independents, and anyone others who think they will/would vote Democratic in 2012 only please.

If the Republican race was decided, I'd certainly switch over and vote for Hillary. She's the only person on that list I would certainly vote for over Palin, Huckabee, or Gingrich.

Interesting.  Obama, Clinton, and Feingold are tied with 5 votes each, Dean lags behind with only 2, and Gravel pulls up the rear with no love at all.

I´m undecided between Obama and Feingold, but would never vote for Hillary, Gravel or Dean over Obama. Because Feingold won't primary Obama, I voted for the President.

Obama for sure, but only because he's the incumbent president.

How can I be made to choose between Dean and Feingold? That's like Sophie's Choice.

It has been a week since I posted this and so I thought I would post the results so far below.  Keep voting if you haven't already though, this is still a very close race.

Barack Obama   15 (31.9%)
Russ Feingold    13 (27.7%)
Hillary Clinton      8 (17%)
Mike Gravel          7 (14.9%)
Howard Dean      4 (8.5%)

I have to say I am surprised by how well Gravel is doing, though I suspect that might be due in part to right-wing support.  I don't mind if you are a Republican and vote in the poll so long as you live in a state with open primaries and plan on voting Democrat in early 2012.

I'd love Mike Gravel to get the nomination. Other than him, Russ Feingold would be another great candidate.
