That's EXACTLY the point - the point of moderators is how effective of a job they do.  He hasn't done anything even worth being reported to a mod on a different board.  He's on a very low traffic board - so what's wrong with him.

Personal feelings about somebody have nothing to do with being a moderator.  You, sir, have missed the point of your own question.

obviously if there's a large grassroots movement against him, it isn't just limited to my personal feelings.  just because he can handle a do-nothing job without the world coming crashing down doesn't make him qualified, deserved, etc.  Sir.

Then what are the qualifications of being a moderator?

I'd say one of the qualifications is being respected by the forum at large.

Why - that has nothing to do with how he'd carry out his job as moderator.  And why doesn't the forum at large respect him?

He hardly ever posts anyway. I'm suprised he would want to be one.

Also how about on Halloween or April Fools we make Straha the moderator of all the boards for a day.

Harry, we'd probably be looking for a moderator who hasn't posted porn - twice.  Thanks for your self-recommendation, though. Tongue

Fair enough, but for the record I've only done it once, it was just a topless woman, and that was a really long time ago. Tongue
That was a hilarious day. I saved that, but I cant find it. -_- That was almost as good as the thread of 1000 posts.

As far as my contribution to this topic, I agree with many in truly wondering about why this fella is a moderator, nothing against him personally.

no, you also hid a picture of Brooke Burke in a thread that I found 18 months later.  Alcon deleted the thread in an instant after I bumped it and no one ever saw it.

Why - that has nothing to do with how he'd carry out his job as moderator.  And why doesn't the forum at large respect him?

it probably has alot to do with his general mild incoherence and being in bed with jamespol and texasindy and etc.  but when such a large portion of the forum doesn't respect someone and comes out so vocally against him, there's quite obviously something to it.

Say, listen, I now do not support unbanning jamespol now, or really anytime in the future.  Texasindy did go a bit far at times.  However, you must be forgetting that I AM NOT THEM!!!!!!  You should not and cannot judge me based on them.  That is above all things unethical.

Although I disagree with not unbanning jamespol, I agree - yall shouldn't judge him based on his friendships.

Yet it will never happen with him (or probably anybody you want to be mods) because Dave will have probably talked to them a lot before.

Who are "they"?  The Illuminati, perhaps?
