Of course the primary offender is gone, but it's not like it isn't used otherwise. It is basically trolling. (If you don't know I'm referring to basically just saying "you're wrong" to every point the other person makes or just using a dumb ad hominem attack.)

I agree that it's becoming more and more common to see The LibertasTM emoticon employed as a first line of defense, along with abrupt contradictory rebuttals (e.g. "Uh, no it isn't. [end of post]").  But it'd be a worrying precedent to outlaw styles of debate that are considered useless.  Let their poor quality of debate skills speak for themselves.
