Of course the primary offender is gone, but it's not like it isn't used otherwise. It is basically trolling. (If you don't know I'm referring to basically just saying "you're wrong" to every point the other person makes or just using a dumb ad hominem attack.)

That has got to be one of the most retarded proposals I have read on this forum.

Don't worry, I'm sure more will crop up shortly.

I agree that it's becoming more and more common to see The LibertasTM emoticon employed as a first line of defense, along with abrupt contradictory rebuttals (e.g. "Uh, no it isn't. [end of post]").  But it'd be a worrying precedent to outlaw styles of debate that are considered useless.  Let their poor quality of debate skills speak for themselves.

I don't know what that means.  I just wanted to get in on the fun of misquoting.

It's still rather frustrating when you consider how many people with far better work histories than Jeff have to spend months or years unemployed before they finally get an offer.

Freedom of speech is a cute idea, but it doesn't work - you can't tolerate people who are intolerant.

There is no freedom of speech on a privately owned message board...

There is no guarantee of it, but the owner of a given forum could decide to govern it according to that principle (which Dave has not, for reasons that are self-evident when one considers the intended role of the site).

As a Professor of Atlasology at the University of Paris, Texas, I must concur with your interpretation.
